23 Wholesale customers attended the Gibson Hotel for an Industry Engagement Seminar, organised by eircom Wholesale, on eircom's Voluntary Wholesale Reforms programme.
eircom CEO Paul Donovan opened the session and emphasised eircom Group’s commitment to the programme which seeks to create a more transparent, commercial and customer focused Wholesale business.
Chris Hutchings, MD eircom Wholesale, presented an overview of customer feedback gathered to date on the Wholesale Reforms plan. Chris also presented on the key elements of the reforms programme across Internal Processes, Systems, Cultural Change and Governance.
John McIntyre, Head of OSS Design and Build, presented in detail on the significant changes being made to eircom IT Systems that will deliver greater equivalence in provisioning and support for regulated access products. Jonathan Viney, Sales and Marketing Change Director, outlined a range of measures, including a code of practice, that will be implemented as part of Wholesale cultural change. Finally Donagh McGovern, Group Business Planning Director, presented on the proposed changes to Wholesale governance that will improve operational transparency.
Commenting on the event Chris Hutchings said "Today's event marked a further important stage in the development of a more open, trusted and collaborative Wholesale organisation. The level of detail presented at the seminar, and the evident senior executive committment to the programme, should leave no one in any doubt that our Voluntary Wholesale Reform is both substantial and real and will have a very positive impact on our relationship with Wholesale customers."
